About Sage Clarity

Our Story

Sage Clarity was founded by John Oskin with the promise of delivering rich, actionable data to the industrial markets.

Our first digital transformation app was OneView. A mobile app to connect users ranging from supervisors to executives to their performance metrics allowing them to know what’s happening anytime anywhere. With a few taps users can move from business units to sites to individual lines creating a portal for the connected enterprise intelligence.

Our next digital transformation app was Next Generation Andon to focus on the connected worker. Expanding on the concept started by Toyota adapted for the digital age. Previously Andon stopped with a “call for help”. Our solution focuses on the “holistic event” starting with the notification of an issue and following the issue through resolution leveraging both machine and operator alerts with workflow for follow up.

In 2018 Marc Bertrand joined the Sage Clarity team as head of product development. Marc’s background with 30 years in automation and MES systems brought new knowledge and experience with connected machines and data acquisition. Recognizing the need for faster, richer, more cost-effective data collection we released our digital accelerator platform ABLE.

ABLE, a high-speed, edge-based logic engine with a native IIoT stack executes logic above the automation layer, eliminating complex programming in a graphical no code environment creating a holistic model of machines and connected line flow with the ability to learn which faults truly matter and which don’t. ABLE accelerates digital transformation and MES initiatives across a broad spectrum of industries.

In September of 2024 Sage Clarity was acquired by SmartSights. “We’re excited to add Sage Clarity’s real-time machine and data analytic solutions to the SmartSights platform, providing customers with easy to implement tools to improve their processes and operations,” said SmartSights CEO Corey Rhoden. “The addition of Sage Clarity advances the SmartSights strategic vision by offering customers issue management and root cause analysis, as well as new detection capabilities, in one integrated software platform.
